Indian police finally arrested the perpetrator of the Bitrstrades Cryptocurrency fraud. 5 Bitrstrades workers, Hardik Zasfiya, were arrested for fraud and criminal offenses based on the Indian Panel Code (IPC), however, the other four defendants were still free to roam.
The victim claimed to have been cheated as much as $ 230,000 by Bitstrades, this arrest came from a report of someone who felt cheated by the company. However, the police charged that the amount was greater than what was reported because no one reported it.
ICO Bitstrades advertised on the main page of the Coinmarcetcap site in January last year and on newsBTC, The Markle and CoinSpeaker. this case led to a lack of investor oversight and protection.
A youtube channel called CryptoXplosed warns that Bitstrades is similar to Bitconnect.
